Category - 1 Group 'C' (NTPC only) - 03 Posts
Category - 2 Erstwhile Group 'D' - 10 Posts
Education Qualification
a) Category - 1 Group 'C' (NTPC only) - Candidate must have passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. (No minimum marks for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen & all candidates with higher qualification ).
b) Category - 2 Erstwhile Group 'D' - Candidate must have passed 10th class with National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT OR 10th Class with ITI or equivalent.
Scouting/ Guiding Qualification
(i) President's Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
(ii) Candidate should have been an active member of a Scout Organisation for the last 05 years and should have the "Certificate of Activeness".
(ii) Candidate should have attended 02 events at National level/ All Indian Railways' level and 02 events at State level.
Age Limit
As on 1st January 2019
18 to 30 years for Category - 01 Group 'C' (NTPC only) and 18 to 33 years for Category - 02 Erstwhile Group 'D'. OBC candidates will get Age relaxation in upper age up to 03 years and SC/ ST candidates for 05 years.
Selection Process
Selection process will consist of Written examination, Scouting Skill Assessment & Certificates verification and Medical Examination
Examination Fee
Examination fee charges are Rs. 250 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Ex-servicemen, PWD, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes and Rs. 500 for all other categories. Fee must be pay through Indian Postal Order (IPO Payable at GPO, Kolkata) drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (RRC), Eastern Railway,Kolkata’. Name & full address of candidate must be written at the space provided in the IPO.
Scale of Pay
Group 'C' (NTPC only) - Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1900/- (Level-02 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC))
Group 'D' - Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1800/- (Level-02 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC)).
