Principal, Industrial Training Institute / Assistant Director of Training (Post Code No.1729) (2010-2011, 2011-2012 & 2016-2017)): 9 posts

Assistant Engineer (Industries) (Post Code No. 1900) (2013-2014 & 2018-2019): 32 posts

Educational Qualification

     Candidates are requested to check their education qualification required for various Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) job opportunities.

1.Principal
      A degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology of any recognized University or Institution under the purview of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) AND (ii) Practical experience in a workshop or factory for a period of not less than three years.

2. Assistant Engineer (Industries)
     Must possess a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree of any discipline except Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or Institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education. AND
Practical experience in General purpose Engineering Workshop or in an Engineering Industry or in a recognized concern for a period of not less than six months
Practical experience in a supervisory or operative capacity connected with the production of goods or material or operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment in a recognized concern for a period of not less than six months.

Age Limit

Principal, Industrial Training Institute / Assistant Director of Training: 24 years to 30 years

Assistant Engineer (Industries): 18 years to 35 years

Pay Scale

       Candidates who had got selected for the Tamil Nadu PSC AE Recruitment 2018 will have the pay scale as mentioned below.

Principal, Industrial Training Institute / Assistant Director of Training: Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500 (Level 22) as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules, 2017.

Assistant Engineer (Industries): Rs.37,700 – 1,19,500 (Level 20) as per Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules 2017

Selection Criteria

      Applicants of Tamil Nadu TNPSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2018 must participate in the following interview rounds to get selected for the applied posts.
