Educational Qualification
- Scientist D: Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with five year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with six years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university OR MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 8 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree OR BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 9 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/B.V.Sc Degree OR B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with ten years R&D/Teaching experience after B.Tech degree OR First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree OR Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
- Scientist E: Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with seven year R&D/ teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university OR MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 10 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree OR BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 11 years R&D/Teaching experience with the relevant subject after BDS/M.V.Sc Degree OR B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with twelve years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B.Tech degree OR First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 10 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree OR Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 10 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
- Scientist F: Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with nine years R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university OR MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 12 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree OR BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 13 years R&D/Teaching experience with the relevant subject after BDS/M.V.Sc Degree OR B.Tech degree in relevant Engineering subject with 14 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B.Tech degree OR First class Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 12 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree OR Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 12 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
Age Limit
Maximum 45 years of age can apply for the Scientist D posts.
Maximum 50 years of age can apply for the Scientist E posts.
Maximum 52 years of age can apply for the Scientist E posts.
Relaxation in Upper age limit for those candidates belonging to other categories.
Salary Details
The Salary for Scientist D will be Rs 78800/- to Rs.209200 per month.
The Salary for Scientist E will be Rs 123100/- to Rs.215900/- per month.
The Salary for Scientist F will be Rs 131100/- to Rs.216600 per month.
Selection Process
The Selection Process will be based on the basis of Personal Discussion & Interview.

For Others: Rs. 500/-

No. 4911, New Delhi – 110029 on or before 07 Dec 2018, along with Demand Draft, copies of all educational qualifications, age proof, Degree certificates, cast certificates, NOC if applicable, etc. documents & certificates.
Important Note
- Outstation candidates, who will be called for personal discussion/ interview, shall be paid restricted to 2nd class rail fare or actual, by shortest route, whichever is less, subject to production of ticket. In respect of abroad candidates, rail fare by shortest route will be defrayed by shortest route from permanent residence in India to place of personal discussion/ interview.
- Applicants should indicate legibly on the envelope “Application for the post of Scientist ‘D’ or Scientist ‘E’ or Scientist ‘F’, ICMR”
- Any canvassing by or on behalf of candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/ recruitment shall be considered as disqualification.
