     Indian Spices Board of Cochin is currently in need of candidates to work as spices extension trainees exclusively for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category people. Spices Board was constituted on 26th February 1987 under the Spices Board Act 1986 (No. 10 of 1986) with the merger of the erstwhile Cardamom Board (1968) and Spices Export Promotion Council (1960). Spices Board is one of the five Commodity Boards functioning under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. It is an autonomous body responsible for the export promotion of the 52 scheduled spices and development of Cardamom (Small & Large). 

     Spices Board Recruitment 2018 scheduled walk-in test for the post of Spices Extension Trainees (SET) for B.Sc graduates at Kerala & Arunachal Pradesh. The detailed eligibility criteria and application process are given in below. 

Vacancy Details

      The number of Spices Extension Trainee vacancies to be filled in Indian Spices Board is 34.

Post wise vacancies: 34 Posts
Spices Extension Trainees (Kerala) – 16 Posts
Spices Extension Trainees (Arunachal Pradesh) – 18 Posts

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification

    B.Sc (Agriculture / Horticulture) or B.Sc (Botany/Zoology / Microbiology /Biotechnology / Forestry) with working knowledge in computer.

Note: Those who have been engaged earlier as SET/OTA in Spices Board are not eligible to apply.

Age limit (As on 01.11.2018): Below 35 years.

Tenure Period: Up to 31.3.2019 initially and which may be extended for one more year.

Selection Process

      The selection process of Trainees will be based on walk-in-test.
