The University covers the area comprising the districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. The University got the 12(B) and 2f status from the University Grants Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with B+ grade in 2007.      Periyar University Invites Applications for the Following Posts

Junior Research Fellow (Non-NET) - 01

Educational Qualification

     M.Sc. (55% marks) (Environmental Science / Chemistry / Botany /Biochemistry / Biotechnology /Microbiology / Zoology).

1. Title of the Project: Development of an Innovative Bioprocess for Treatment and Recycling of Domestic and Industrial Wastewater

2. Duration 16 months - The Junior Research Fellow appointment shall be on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project

3. Duties and responsibilities: JRF needs to visit field to collect wastewater/sludge samples related to the project work, independently conduct the laboratory research work and any other duties relevant to the research project.

Age Limit

     The age must below 30 years.

     Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Go through Periyar University official Notification 2018 for more reference.

Selection Procedure

     Interested eligible candidates should report at the Department of Environmental Science, Periyar University, Salem-636011 at the scheduled date and time mentioned above. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.

Pay scale

     Junior Research Fellow (Non-NET) - Rs. 14,400/- per month (consolidated)
