     Walk in for 13 SRF, JRF, PA Posts in CLRI, Tamil Nadu. Candidates are invited by CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) to attend walk-in-interview to be held on 14 Dec 2018 at 09:00 AM for 13 vacancies.

    The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) strives to provide scientific, industrial research and development that maximizes the economic & environmental and social benefit for the people of India. CSIR, with its complement of 10,000 highly qualified scientific & technical personnel, is amongst the largest R&D organization in the world for scientific and industrial research. CLRI, today, is a central hub in Indian leather sector with direct roles in education, research, training, testing, designing, forecasting, planning, social empowerment and leading in science and technology relating to leather. State-of-art facilities in CLRI support, innovation in leather processing, creative designing of leather products viz. leather garment, leather goods, footwear and development of novel environmental technologies for the leather sector.

     These programs can be described as Autonomous programs of CLRI because the entire courses were designed and run solely by CLRI. From early 1993, these programs have produced around 1500 promising vocational candidates in all and dedicated to the industry. These vocational courses, of late, became indispensable for the industry. CLRI, a premier research organization in the country has a mandate to provide support to leather and allied sector. Highly qualified and able scientific personnel serving this reputed institute enable CLRI to achieve its goal. Promotion of Science & Technology to the Society forms an important National agenda for CLRI.

     The Indian leather goods industry has been expanding rapidly and its export performance in the last five years is very striking. The ever-growing competitive International market for the manufacture of sophisticated, fashion oriented and value-added leather products has necessitated the need for design and quality inputs.

Educational Qualification

Senior Research Fellow (Project): M.Sc, Microbiology with 02 years of research experience with UGC-CSIR NET/ NET-Lectureship/ GATE/ qualification.

Junior Research Fellow (Project): M.Sc (Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry) from ecognised University/ Institute with UGC-CSIR NET/ NET- Lectureship/ GATE qualification.

Junior Research Fellow (Project): M.Tech (Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience & Nanotechnology from recognized University/ Institute.OR
M.Sc. in Chemistry (any specialization) with UGC-CSIR NET/ NET-Lectureship/ GATE qualification.

Project Assistant Level-III: Post Graduate Degree in Science with minimum 55% marks from recognized University/ Institute plus 02 years relevant experience.

Project Assistant Level-III: MBA with minimum 55% marks from recognized University/ Institute plus 02 years relevant experience.

Project Assistant Level-II/ Level-III: Leve- II:-
B.E/B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) with minimum 55% marks from recognized University/ Institute.
Level- III:-
M.E/M.Tech (Industrial Safety) with minimum 55% marks from recognized University/Institute

Age Limit

     The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.

Salary Details

Senior Research Fellow (Project): ₹28. 000 plus HRA admissible as per rules per month.

Junior Research Fellow (Project): ₹25. 000 plus HRA admissible as per rules per month.

Project Assistant Level-III: ₹16,000 per month

Project Assistant Level-II/ Level-III: Level-II - ₹14,000 per month
Level-III - ₹16,000 per month

Project Assistant Level - I/ Level - II: Level-I - ₹10,000 per month
Level-II - ₹14,000 per month

Project Assistant Level-II: ₹14,000 per month
